Shangri-La Paris exudes luxury and opulence. To be honest, we had never experienced ANYTHING like it and it was a joy from the second we walked in. The staff is inviting and courteous, but, the best part, was our room. Waiting for us in our room was a bottle of wine and refreshments + a bottle of Veuve Clicqout & macarons because it was our anniversary. So lovely!

I did some research before booking and really wanted an Eiffel Tower view, so I booked the Terrace Eiffel Tower View Room. There are several rooms within this category. Our room had a second story terrace with lounge chairs, a dining table and the most spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. Other rooms I saw in this category had French doors that opened up to a terrace on the same level as the bedroom with no second story.

On our first night there, we had a "picnic" on the terrace with meat, cheese & bread we picked up at a local market and we definitely popped that champagne! It's one of my favorite travel memories. :)

The soaker tub was delightful. The hotel provides bath salts, toothbrushes, BVLGARI shower amenities, cotton balls, etc. all in-room.

On our last morning, we ordered breakfast and had them bring it up to the terrace. I recommend only ordering breakfast for one because it was a lot of food. The price for one breakfast is 68 Euros and it was plenty for Matt and me. If only we could dine with a view like that every morning!

The cocktails are pricey in the lounge but stop by just to take a look at the decor. It's stunning. The bar cocktails were expensive, too, but again, worth stopping by. Very chic. We didn't eat at the restaurant because Paris has so much to offer for dining, but it is Michelin starred and highly revered. 

With luxury and a view that will make your heart stop, comes a price. Shangri-La Paris rooms start in the low 1000s a night and go up and up in price. When I was booking, I saw their biggest suite at 20,000 USD a night. That is not the room we booked, but I'm sure it's amazing!
